Eric Anthony Puskarz

Eric Anthony Puskarz passed away at the age of 46 on Jan. 25, 2023. Eric lost his brave battle with cancer, but not without leaving his mark on this world. A native of New Britain, he resided in West Hartford in recent years.

He is survived by his son Gabriel, his parents, AnnMary and Anthony Richard Puskarz, and three siblings, Jennifer Turner (Jay), Allison Bouffard (Joe), and Marisa Flugrad (Ed). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Eric’s family thanks his former wife and dear friend, Christina DaCosta Puskarz, for her compassion and care for him during these last two weeks of his life enduring a grave illness.

Eric graduated from Holy Cross School and St. Thomas Aquinas High School, class of 1994. He attended Fairfield University.

Eric will always be remembered as a kind, gentle and friendly person who enjoyed playing, teaching and working with children.

He has left a loving, positive impact on all lives he touched. He was known for his humor and creativity, whether it showed in his painting, or photography or his various self-taught knitting projects. He enjoyed listening to recordings from his extensive vinyl LP record collection.

Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at

Burritt Hill, 332 Burritt St., New Britain.

Eric’s funeral will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 30th at Burritt Hill, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, New Britain. He will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain.
