BRISTOL — A special event was held at Bristol Public Library to recognize Vietnam Spouses.
The Vietnam Spouses recognition event was organized by Bristol Public Library’s 50th Vietnam War Commemoration Committee and Neal Supranovich, historian from American Legion Post 2, in partnership with the
Department of Defense’s 50th Vietnam War Commemoration Event. It was also held as part of a recognition of May as “Military Appreciation Month”
Supranovich said that the library’s Vietnam War Commemoration Committee put on the event with help from American Legion Post 2, American Legion Auxiliary Post 2, the Bristol Korean War Veterans Association, the City of
Bristol Mayor’s Office, the Katherine Gaylord Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Friends of the Bristol Public Library.
